With six weeks in the books, there isn’t a ton of time left to make that push for the fantasy playoffs. Finding the right player on waivers now can set you up for that deep season run. We are in the bulk of bye week season with four teams this week and next. A steady replacement will help. Its an added bonus is they have already had their bye because you don’t miss another week down the road.
Quarterback
C.J. Stroud - Houston Texans
If you lost Jalen Hurts this week and shifted to C.J. Stroud , it paid off. Stroud finished this week as QB3 against a solid Jaguars team in London. This week, the Texans return to H-Town and take on the New York Giants, who have been giving up points to QB’s like it’s going out of style. With another week of practices with Marvin Harrison Jr ., Stroud should see solid numbers in Week 7.
Honorable Mentions
Kirk Cousins has been a name championed in this article all season. He’s QB6 this season, and if he’s out there, he should be rostered. Aaron Rodgers has been a fringe QB1 this season, and with the Steelers traveling to New Orleans this week, Rodgers should continue to impress. If Kyler Murray or Geno Smith are on the wire, their matchups are quite favorable this week, and if these two are your top options, you should feel comfortable starting either of them.
Running Back
Roschon Johnson - Chicago Bears
Ben Johnson has a way of getting good production from his running backs no matter the circumstances. As long as the Bears are missing Kyle Monangai with the turf toe injury, or if D’Andre Swift misses any time, Johnson should provide low-end RB2/Flex production for you.
