Quarterback
Kirk Cousins - Las Vegas Raiders $10~ FAAB
I mentioned Kirk in this article last week, and he finished as QB4 this week. Kirk makes his way back on this list this week ahead of their matchup against the New England Patriots. The Raiders have been using a lot of 12 and 13 personnel sets, and Cousins lines up under center on 65% of snaps this season. Klint Kubiak’s system is working well to start the season, and I plan on riding this train until the wheels fall off.
Honorable Mentions
C.J. Stroud is entering Year 3, where most young QB’s make a big jump. Stroud has been better this season, and against the Titans this week, which looks good. Deshaun Watson . I’ve hesitated to put him on this list, and perhaps I need to add a dishonorable mention section, but Watson has played well this season. If you need a starter, he’s worth consideration this week against the Jets.
Running Back
Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles have been suffering at the running back position this season. Saquon Barkley hasn’t been the back we expected him to be, and now Tank Bigsby is headed to IR. If Saquon misses this week Will Shipley
Seattle Seahawks
The Seahawks are without Jadarian Price for a while, and with rumors of Joe Mixon signing with the team, this backfield is messier. I’m not looking to add Mixon. Emanuel Wilson looks like he’ll command most snaps, and Mixon will probably spell in to give Wilson and George Holani a break. If I had to pick one of these guys to start, it’s probably Wilson, but I’m not excited to put any of these back in my starting lineup. If I had to start one of these guys, it’s probably Wilson. His opportunities should provide him enough work to provide a dependable floor. The RB who scores the touchdown is going to be the guy you wish you had in your lineup. If you want to roll with one of these guys, keep your eyes on the news for who’s playing in the red zone.
