Sportsbooks, Compared — Honestly

Seven books take roughly the same bet. Where they split is the part that moves your edge: how deep the prop board goes, how fast your limit gets trimmed once you win, and whether their number is different enough to be worth shopping. This is a neutral read on all seven — no affiliate spin, no invented ratings.

The dozens of regional books in our live odds feed are alternates the data carries — the seven below are the canonical majors most edges actually clear through. Shop the number, not the logo.

Every major US book, side by side.(7 books)

DraftKings

the widest prop board in the market

  • Deepest player-prop menu of the seven, especially alt lines and same-game stacks.
  • Lines move early, so it is often the first book to post a number worth shopping.
  • Accounts that consistently beat the close get limited — expected, not a bug.

Best for

Prop hunters who want the most markets on one screen

App Store rating 4.8 of 5; Google Play 4.5 of 5 (as of June 2026).

FanDuel

the slickest app, fastest to limit sharps

  • Cleanest mobile interface of the majors; cash-out and bet building feel effortless.
  • Strongest NFL prop coverage, with frequent boosts that occasionally float real value.
  • Limits arrive quickly once you show an edge — treat it as a shopping book, not a home book.

Best for

Recreational bettors who value the cleanest experience

App Store rating 4.8 of 5; Google Play 4.6 of 5 (as of June 2026).

BetMGM

soccer and combo markets run deep

  • Among the deepest soccer and player-combo markets of the US books.
  • Holds limits a touch longer than FanDuel or DraftKings for most players.
  • Rewards program is meaningful if you are already an MGM resort customer.

Best for

Soccer and combo bettors; players who want limits that last

App Store rating 4.8 of 5; Google Play 4.4 of 5 (as of June 2026).

Caesars

broad coverage, established operator

  • Wide market coverage on the major sports; rarely the deepest, rarely the thinnest.
  • Caesars Rewards tie-in is the real differentiator if you travel to their properties.
  • App is functional and has improved, but trails FanDuel and DraftKings on polish.

Best for

Bettors who want wide coverage and a long-running rewards tie-in

App Store rating 4.7 of 5; Google Play 4.3 of 5 (as of June 2026).

ESPN BET

branded trust, a maturing prop suite

  • Tight integration with ESPN content makes the slate feel familiar to fantasy users.
  • Prop menu is still maturing — fewer exotic markets than DraftKings or FanDuel.
  • Promotional pricing surfaces occasionally; worth a line-shop check, not a home base.

Best for

Casual bettors already living inside the ESPN app

App Store rating 4.8 of 5; Google Play 4.4 of 5 (as of June 2026).

Fanatics

acquisition mode — aggressive limits, for now

  • Among the most generous limits of any major right now — a customer-acquisition stance.
  • FanCash rewards convert to merchandise, which suits the Fanatics retail customer.
  • Treat the limits as temporary; acquisition-phase generosity rarely lasts at scale.

Best for

Bettors chasing the most generous current limits before they normalize

App Store rating 4.8 of 5; Google Play 4.3 of 5 (as of June 2026).

Hard Rock

regional reach with a casino-first lean

  • Polished, casino-forward app; sportsbook is one pillar of a wider gaming product.
  • Availability is regional — strongest where Hard Rock holds active market access.
  • Sharp-side depth trails the national leaders; best as a shopping book in-state.

Best for

Bettors in Hard Rock's live states who also play casino

App Store rating 4.7 of 5; Google Play 4.2 of 5 (as of June 2026).

How to read this

Limit behavior is the only thing that separates a casual book from a pro book. Every major welcomes you with generous limits; the question is how fast they trim you once you start beating the close. The cells above are judgments a sharp bettor would make, not a scoreboard — the only hard numbers here are the dated app-store ratings on each card, and books change limits, markets, and state availability on their own schedule.

The takeaway is older than any of these brands: have at least three books and bet the best number. A half-point on a total or two cents of juice compounds over a season into more than any signup bonus. Use the prop screener to see who is posting the softest line, then size it with fractional Kelly.
