How often every hitter and pitcher clears his lines — recent-form windows plus a context-adjusted expected rate.
The Scout’s Notebook
A prop hit rate is how often a player has cleared a given line over a sample — last 5, last 10, the full season, or a specific matchup profile. It only means something when it is measured against the line the books are posting right now.
A 70% hit rate against a line that has since moved a full point is trivia; a 70% rate against the current number, with stable playing time behind it, is a genuine lean. The board makes that distinction explicit on every player.
Hit rates are useful only when re-anchored to the current line and paired with role and minutes, because a raw rate silently mixes games played against very different numbers. Dynatyze recomputes each split against tonight's line so the rate reflects the bet you can actually place.
