The Tendency Room
Every charted dropback of the season, read as a habit rather than a box score: who fakes the handoff, who sends the extra rusher, who throws it away, and what any of it was worth.
Play-action rate · Every dropbackKC36.4%over 143 charted dropbacks15.4%ARI, the other end
Charting covers 4,813 of 4,813 dropbacks in the first 5 weeks of the 2026 regular season — 100.0%. Most rates below are a share of dropbacks rather than of the whole slate — nobody blitzes a kickoff — and the three that are not say so: drops divide by catchable balls, contested balls by targets, and every receiver column by the denominator its column head names.
Charting begins in 2022, so this room does too. The Over Expected Room and the Rush Room run back to 2018 on columns that were recorded before anybody charted a play-action fake — four more seasons, four fewer questions.
What each offense calls, and what it gets shown. Every charted dropback of the regular season. 32 teams shown.
Every dropback is charted by hand — the play-action fake, the throwaway, the drop, the screen. This room reads that sheet one situation at a time, so a tendency is a rate inside a split rather than a season total wearing a filter's name.

Colour is the percentile inside this exact split — change the situation and the ink re-ranks with it. Direction is applied per column, so green always means good.
