Reading the college player props…
The Scout’s Notebook
The College Prop Lab lines up every college basketball player prop the books post — the main line, every alternate line and every book's price — and sets his own history at that line beside each one, so you can see how often he has cleared it before you take a price.
His history is his record, counted from his own box scores — not a projection. A game he sat is left out, never counted as a zero, and under four decided games no rate is shown at all.
No college prop is called. A call needs a record of those calls that beats the closing line, and no college call has one yet, so the board leads with the market and never lights a verdict.
Each row also grades his opponent on the stat itself — points, rebounds, assists or threes allowed per game, ranked across Division I — rather than on one defence rating for every stat.
No. It is the share of his decided games in his most recent season on file that went over the line, read straight off his box scores. It says what he has done, not what he will do, and it is never called a bet.
A call is shown only when a record of those calls beats the closing line. No college prop call has been graded against a close yet, so the board shows the market and his history and makes no call.
