I write my Start/Sit article by selecting someone outside the consensus top-12 at each position and explaining why I believe they can outperform expectations. Conversely, I also pick a player inside the consensus top-12 and explain why I expect them to underperform. Let’s dive in.

Start: Aaron Rodgers (PIT) vs. NO
Is age just a number? Rodgers is making the case for it at quarterback this year, continuing to deliver for fantasy managers at 42. This week, he gets another streamable matchup against the New Orleans Saints.
Expert consensus ranks him QB14 this week, but he’s finished inside that for four straight weeks. Over those four weeks, he’s averaged more than 20 fantasy points, two or more passing touchdowns, nearly 270 passing yards, and over 38 passing attempts per game. The volume is there for the production to follow.
The Saints defense is currently middle of the pack (15th) against quarterback production this year. They allow 17.9 fantasy points per game, driven by 256 passing yards and 10 passing touchdowns this season.
Vegas has the Steelers as favorites, with a team implied total of 24.0 points and a projected 44.5-point game. Rodgers has favorable prop bets for over 230.5 passing yards, over 21.5 completions, over 33.5 pass attempts, and over 1.5 passing touchdowns. Vegas is projecting volume, so fringe QB1 production should follow suit again in ideal dome conditions. Rodgers may not be the reason you win your week, since he offers very little on the ground, but he has a solid floor if you need a streaming option.
