Every player prop where one book breaks from the rest, priced against a fair from the others.
The Scout’s Notebook
A prop gap is a player prop where one sportsbook disagrees with the rest — a different number, or the same number at a better price. When the other books agree, their no-vig price is a fair estimate, and the outlier is the bet.
Fair is the other books' price with the vig taken out; the gap's own book never prices itself. Where only overs are posted on an alternate number, the fair takes the field's price at that number less the vig they charge on the main line.
The Ladders view ranks the same props by their best alternate number instead — every line × every book, the fair at each number, and the one number that pays the most over fair.
A price older than the freshness gate for its game is set aside before anything is built, and games that have started are left out — an in-play prop is a different bet. The board counts what it set aside so you can see it.
It is how long we have watched this exact gap — the same book, side and number — stay open. The board is checked whenever someone has it open; "at least" means the gap was already open when we started looking, either after a restart or after a stretch when nobody was watching, so we never print an age we did not see.
The fair stands on fewer books than an honest prop price needs. The edge still prints, in grey, and you can hide those rows under Refine.
