Every team’s regular-season win total, both sides at every book, and the books’ own chance of the over.
The Scout’s Notebook
A season win total is a sportsbook's number for how many games a team will win across the whole regular season, offered as an over or an under. You are not betting on a game — you are betting on whether the market has priced a roster, a schedule and a year of health correctly, and the bet takes the full season to settle.
That comparison is the strip above the board: how far the closing market landed from the truth, in wins, across the teams and seasons currently on screen. A market that misses by a win and a half a season is telling you something different about this summer's 9.5 than one that misses by half a win.
Books disagree on win totals more than on any other market, because there is no in-game price to anchor them. Where the live quotes on this board are half a win apart, that gap is a real shopping edge and the room filters for it — the best available side is the one priced by the book that is furthest from the rest.
A season with an incomplete price history is left out rather than estimated. A team-season only enters the archive when every one of its games has a stored closing pair, so the expected wins and the real wins are always measured over the same schedule.
Yes. A season win total settles on regular-season results, and playoff wins do not count. This room grades the archive the same way, with a tie counted as half a win exactly as the standings do.
By pricing it, not by asking. Every completed game in the archive carries the closing moneyline pair, the vig is stripped through the same de-vig core the rest of the product uses, and the resulting win probabilities are summed across the season. That sum is the wins the closing market paid for.
Because a season number has no in-game price to correct it, so each book is left with its own model and its own liability. That is why shopping matters more here than almost anywhere else — half a win of difference between two books is an ordinary occurrence on this board and a large edge.
